3. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
- Display product information and compare prices from our catalogue and third-party retailers.
- Process and fulfil direct orders, communicate order updates and manage returns, refunds and support.
- Facilitate payment processing, prevent fraud, maintain records and meet legal obligations.
- Measure website performance, troubleshoot, improve features and protect the website.
- Operate affiliate links and attribute referrals or commissions when visitors choose a partner retailer.
- Send service messages and, where permitted and with required consent, promotional communications. You can opt out of marketing messages.
4. Legal grounds and choices
We process information where needed to provide a service you request, perform or take steps toward a contract, comply with law, protect the website and users, or on the basis of consent where required. You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing by contacting us; this does not affect processing already lawfully carried out or processing supported by another lawful basis.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use essential cookies for sign-in, security, session management and core functions. Analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies may also be used if enabled. Manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect features. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential technologies.
6. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information as a standalone product. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, analytics, customer support, security and technology providers, including Supabase where used.
- Payment providers: including Razorpay or another provider selected for a transaction, to process payments, refunds and fraud checks.
- Login providers: Google, if you choose Google sign-in, subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
- Retailers and affiliate partners: when you click an external product link, the retailer may receive information through your browser and may use cookies or referral identifiers. Their privacy practices apply on their websites.
- Delivery and fulfilment partners: information needed to complete a direct order.
- Authorities and advisers: where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a lawful business reorganisation.
Third-party services operate under their own privacy terms. Review those terms before using their services.
7. Price comparison and affiliate links
Little Basket may display products and prices from third-party retailers and may earn a commission if you follow an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase. Clicking a retailer link takes you to that retailer's website. The retailer controls its checkout, payment, delivery, cancellations, returns and customer data. We may share or receive limited referral information to measure link performance; we do not control the retailer's subsequent processing.
8. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, orders, support, dispute handling, legal and accounting requirements, and security. Retention periods depend on the information and applicable law. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No online system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to information about your personal data, correction or updating, erasure where permitted, withdrawal of consent, or grievance redressal. You may request account closure. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for recordkeeping and disputes. Email admin@littlebasket.shop with enough detail to identify your account. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity.
10. Children
Little Basket is intended for use by adults and caregivers, not as an account service for children. Please do not create an account or submit a child's personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate steps.
11. External websites
Our website may link to retailer, payment-provider or other external websites. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information or completing a transaction.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel where required.
